Founded in 2019

A recipe for magic.

From the Source is the product of a group of friends whose individual talents run as deep as the variety between them who set out to make something beautiful purely for the love of creation.

In the spring of 2019 as my olive oil importing business was starting to find some real, if totally accidental, traction it occurred to me that it would be fun to document the process more extensively than I am able to with my iPhone and limited skills.

Coincidentally it just so happened that my friend Conor Callahan was longing to see more of what I was seeing with my eyes, and suggested the idea as a way of distracting from the fact that he was asking me to come ride motorcycles for him in a moto test shoot.

Bada bing bada boom next thing you know I’m picking up the crew in Milan and we’re off to shoot a movie.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Martin Wheeler is a Cinematographer based in Minneapolis MN. Martin has been working in the Film and TV industry for 10 years and has worked on various projects ranging from 30 second advertisements to feature length documentaries and film. From the Source was the perfect opportunity for Martin to bridge his love of Travel, Food and Story telling. Martin is very proud of what the team achieved and can’t wait to get back out on the road to do it again someday soon.

David Dellanave is a dilettante and dabbler. Becoming a purveyor of the finest Italian olive oil and other foods was a happy accident only accelerated by the pandemic. He has had a passion for motorcycles since he was a kid and rides thousands of miles a year. This is his first foray into documentary film but hopefully not the last.
